लाइन संचार –

संचार तंत्र में संचार चैनल एक संचरण माध्यम होता है जो कि प्रेषित और अभिग्राही के बीच भौतिक पथ उपलब्ध कराता है।

इसके दो प्रकार होते हैं –

1. निर्देशित माध्यम (Guide Medium ) :-

इस माध्यम का उपयोग बिन्दु से बिन्दु संचार में किया जाता है।

ऐंठित तारयुग्म , समाक्षीय केबल और प्रकाशिक तन्तु इसके उदाहरण हैं।

इस माध्यम की निश्चित सीमाएं (Boundaries) होती हैं।

2. अनिर्देशित माध्यम (Unguided Medium) :-

मुक्त आकाश में संचरित रेडियो तरंगें अनिर्देशित माध्यम के उदाहरण हैं।

इस माध्यम का उपयोग अंतरिक्ष संचार में किया जाता है।

अंतरिक्ष संचार में प्रेषित्र और ऐण्टिना के बीच बिन्दु से बिन्दु सम्पर्क नहीं होता

किन्तु कई संचार अनुप्रयोगों में बिन्दु से बिन्दु सम्पर्क आवश्यक होता है।

उदाहरण के लिए , टेलीफोन और टेलीग्राफ में प्रेषित्र और अभिग्राही तार लाइन द्वारा जुड़े होते हैं।

इस प्रकार के संचार को लाइन संचार कहते हैं।

जब किसी संचार तंत्र में कुछ दूरी पर स्थित दो बिन्दु आपस में जुड़े होते हैं तो इस तंत्र के द्वारा संचार को लाइन संचार कहते हैं।

लाइन संचार में निर्देशित माध्यम के संचरण गुण और संचरण की गुणता उस माध्यम तथा सिग्नल की प्रकृति पर निर्भर करते हैं।

प्रेषित्र से प्रेषित किये जाने वाले सिग्नल में कई आवृत्तियाँ होती हैं।

इन आवृत्तियों के परास को बैण्ड चौड़ाई कहते हैं।

किसी निर्देशित माध्यम में आवृत्तियों का कितना बैण्ड संचरित हो सकता है ,

यह उस माध्यम के अभिलाक्षणिक गुण पर निर्भर करता है।

लाइन संचार में प्रसारण लाइन (Transmission line ) एक महत्वपूर्ण युक्ति है।

यह दो या दो से अधिक समान्तर चालकों से बना होता है। यह स्त्रोत को लोड से जोड़ता है।

स्त्रोत जनित्र , प्रेषित्र अथवा दोलित्र हो सकता है। लोड फैक्टरी , ऐण्टिना अथवा दोलनदर्शी (Oscilloscope) हो सकता है।
