पोटैशियम परमैंगनेट (KMnO₄) के उपयोग
1. प्रयोग शाला में अभिकारक के रूप में।
2. जल के शुद्धीकरण में रोगाणुनाशी के रूप में।
3. फेरस लवण , ऑक्जेलिक , ऑक्जेलेट , आयोडाइड , परॉक्साइडों के आयतनमितीय आकलन (Volumetric estimation) में।
4.शुष्क सेल में।
5. अनेक यौगिकों के गुणात्मक विश्लेषण में।
पोटैशियम डाइक्रोमेट (K₂Cr₂O₇) के उपयोग –
1. यह क्रोमियम यौगिक , जैसे – क्रोम एलम , क्रोम , यलो तथा क्रोम रेड बनाने में प्रयुक्त होता है।
2. आयतनमितीय विश्लेषण में प्राथमिक मानक पदार्थ के रूप में प्रयुक्त होता है।
3. फोटोग्राफी में जिलेटिन फिल्म को कड़ा करने में।
4. एक अच्छा ऑक्सीकारक हैं।
5. क्रोमिक अम्ल ( ठोस K₂Cr₂O₇ तथा सान्द्र H₂SO₄ का गर्म मिश्रण ) काँच को साफ करने में प्रयुक्त होता है।

अयुग्मित इलेक्ट्रॉन ऊर्जा अवशोषित करके अस्थायी रूप से उच्च स्तर में चले जाते हैं।
